I have a Honda Stream 2.0L 2002 model and the central locking has stopped working. (European MPV, similar to Civic) The driver's door opens and locks with the key, but not the remote. There is a clicking noise when the remote operates and it sets the alarm/ immobilizer OK. The other 3 doors and the tailgate stay locked and I can't open them.
Now press the button on the key head for 3 or 4 seconds. Release the button, turn the ignition off & remove the key. Now see if it locks the doors. You might have to do the button pressing operation a couple of times for it to reset the code.

Crv 2002 central locking issue. I bought this car a couple of months ago. The rear tailgate door does not lock. It has no manual key lock either. I've researched this as best I can and think it may be an actuator. Then about a month ago the central locking wouldn't work from the fob but I realised I'd left the lights on and flattened the battery.

This turns out to be one of the most common reasons for a car lock to stop working. In this case, all you have to do is replace the key fob battery. However, if changing the battery doesn't help, the key fob may be faulty and you should contact the dealer for further key fob tests.
